The hunt for the successor to Johannes Staune-Mittet, winner in 2023 of the first edition of the Giro Next Gen Carta Giovani Nazionale organised by RCS Sport on behalf of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI), will begin on 9 June with an 8.8km time trial through the streets of Aosta. The time trial, which will decree the first Maglia Rosa of the 2024 edition, will be anticipated on Saturday 8 June by the teams presentation, which will take place at 18.15 at the Park of the New University of Valle d’Aosta. There will be 29 teams at the start, including 14 formations linked to UciWorldTeams and UciProTeams such as Visma | Lease a Bike Development, which will try to defend the title won 12 months ago.
